NPP Contest New Mr Amissah said NPP is fully prepared to conduct polling stations elections slated for January 17

In line with the governing New Patriotic Party’s ( NPP) policy to organize primaries to elect their leaders from polling station executives, electoral area coordinators, constituency, Regional and National executives this year, the leadership of the party has resolved it would not stop anybody from contesting any position unless he or she is not a party member.

The Central Regional Communications Director, Mr. Robert Amissah also known in politics as Staga disclosed this to mynewsgh.com in an exclusive interview at Elmina.

He indicated that the Central Regional NPP is fully prepared to conduct polling stations elections slated for January 17 this year in 2,482 polling stations in the region.

Mr. Amissah added that each polling station will elect five polling station executives to steer the affairs of the party for the next four years.

He revealed that the primaries would take place 17 days after the compilation of a new register of members at polling stations and constituency levels outlining measures adopted by the party to ensure peaceful, credible and the success of their elections.

Mr. Amissah expressed happiness about the enthusiasm of aspirants vying for positions at the polling stations adding that thousands of the party members are willing putting themselves up to be elected

He appealed to the candidates not lose hope when they lose but do well to contribute their quota and rally behind the winners to make the party a formidable force to reckon with in 2020

Touching on the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo’s achievement, Mr. Amissah said the visionary NPP government is making efforts to implement policies and programmes to alleviate the suffering of Ghanaians.

To this end, he appealed to Ghanaians to exercise greater restraint to enable President Nana Addo to address problems of unemployment, poverty, education and quality healthcare since better things are ahead this year.
